A sculpture that happens to burn
These are not fragranced candles. There is no scent, no jar and no blended wax. Each one is a flower built from beeswax, made to sit on a table and be looked at, and to be lit if you want to.

Two ways we make them
The same flowers, in beeswax or in soy
One is shaped by hand and never repeats. The other is cast from a mould taken from those hand-shaped originals, so it does. Neither is the lesser thing — they are for different afternoons.

Cast in a mould taken from the original
The same flowers, cast in soy wax using moulds taken from the hand-sculpted originals. Because the mould does the shaping, each one comes out the same as the last — which makes them right for a table of them, or a first candle.

Petal by petal
The slow part is the only part that matters
A peony has more petals than you would think. Each one is shaped on its own, then set against the last, until the flower closes around a cotton wick and starts to look like something that grew rather than something that was made.
Because every petal is placed by hand, no two candles come out identical. Every candle is individually handcrafted. Slight variations in colour and shape make each piece one of a kind.
The studio
This studio is new. There are no reviews on this site yet, and no badges, because there is nothing yet to show you that would be true.
What there is: a small workshop in the Netherlands, a pot of pure beeswax, and one pair of hands that shapes every petal. If you order a flower, I make it for you, and then I send it. That is the whole of it for now.
